What Can Make a Brown-Eyed Girl Blue?

Have you ever had one of those days (or weeks or months) that things just don't seem to go your way? That's how I feel lately. A little of bit of overwork, a little bit of worries building up at home, and then those little annoying things that just spring up in life. You know, the little unexpected surprises that just add up.

For example, yesterday at work I parked on an incline. When I opened my driver's side door, the door escaped me and hit the passenger door of the car beside me. Now, I know it's happened to all of us, but for some reason, I got lucky and my door left a nice bright, red mark on this shiny silver car. I'll admit that part of me wanted to flee, but my conscience wouldn't let me. So I left a note on the windshield telling the driver what happened and that I wanted to make things right. Well so far, I have had limited conversations with the car's owner, but I am paranoid that they are going to take advantage of me and I'll lose my shirt. Makes you question about ever doing the right thing. Sigh . . .

On the bright side, tonight there is a new episode of "Lost," and Brian and I finally have a weekend where we get to stay home. And as an added bonus, we get an extra hour of sleep!!! Hopefully, things will start looking up soon.

Sorry to hear about the car ding fiasco. Its pretty sad when doing the right thing causes you to lose because of how greedy society has gotten these days.
