I spoke with my brother over IM today for the first time. He gave me his sn over the weekend.
Talking with him was quite a mental challenge. Every other sentence had some kind of abbv. These weren't the common abbreviations that I use with my bb, but it was like he was speaking in a completely different language. My "old" brain took a few seconds to process what he was trying to tell me.
When I was telling Brian this story, he mentioned an article that discussed how these abbreviations were common among today's IM users.
Is it possible that I have already fallen into a gg? TTTT, we are 12 years apart, so I guess it is possible. But considering how new IM is, you wouldn't think that I could be so far behind already.
Then of course the writer in me thought "Imagine how the dictionary will look in a few years. It will be condensed to 100 pages because everything will be abbv." LOL.
