Thank You for Being a Friend

WARNING: Sappy post ahead. :-)

Last weekend, I had my 31st birthday. And although I know I am not that old, it still wasn't a birthday that I was looking forward to. You know how you have all these images in your head about how life is going to be by a certain age? Well, as I am sure you also know, when you haven't reached those goals yet, turning another year older can be a little depressing.

But as my birthday approached, I began receiving nice little notes, funny cards, and phone calls from many friends. I was so touched at how many people were thinking of me and all of the nice things that people said. I realized that I am a very, very lucky gal. I couldn't ask for a nicer group of people to have in my life.

So with all of your good wishes, I made it through another birthday. And the next time that I feel blue (or perhaps when I ding another person's car door), I will remember how wonderful I felt knowing that so many people cared about me.

Thanks so much for being my friends!!!!

(Hey, I warned you that I was going to be sappy. And if any of you got the theme song to the TV show 'The Golden Girls' stuck in your head after reading the title of this blog, I apologize. I have had that song stuck in my head since last Friday. If you don't recognize this lyric, then you can count yourself lucky and just shake your head at my sheltered 'Golden Girl' watching childhood. :-)
