2.4 Seconds

Our house has been a sick ward for the past couple of weeks, so all three of us have been sleeping in the master bedroom. Consequently, the cats have not been allowed in the bedroom because I didn't want them jumping on little one in the middle of the night.

We finally got little one into her crib on Sunday. I was thinking "It's been 3 weeks. How long will it take the cats to figure out that our bedroom door is open at night and that they can sleep on the bed again?"

Apparently, it takes about 2.4 seconds (which must be an eternity for a cat). We laid down for a nap on Sunday afternoon, and when I woke up, two cat faces were looking at me. I guess they were tired of sleeping at the top of the stairs and on the couch. At least now we don't have to worry about Zoey destroying our bedroom door. I swear she sounds like she has a battering ram when she tries to open the door.

Awww... they just love you! And miss your warmth I'm sure. I never realized how much I loved cats sleeping on the bed with me until they were gone!
