Ever since I heard the first score of Phantom of the Opera, I have been a huge fan. In high school, I read the novel of the same name by Gaston Leroux. I remember my dad driving by the Paris Opera House, so I could get a closer look. I always wondered how much of the story was based in reality.
In this month's Smithsonian magazine, I found proof that there is truth in fiction. Using Gaston Leroux's novel, people have found a lost room containing old records featuring opera stars in the 1900s.
So next time someone asks why you are wasting your time reading that crap; remind them that you'll never know what you might find.

Wow that is really cool! Amazing! Makes you wonder when you read a book how much more truth there could be in there. All fiction had to be inspired by something...
