English majors love to comment on how Alanis Morrisette's song "Ironic" has no ironic content. Well, I have an interesting story for her.
Yesterday, I had to take little one to the doctor because she was running a fever. We always seem to have the most interesting car trips home from the doctor. One day, we watched a really scary wreck (a Honda slammed into the side of an 18 wheeler and spun out in front of us).
During our drive home yesterday, we ran into a snowstorm of aluminum cans. The entire left lane of the expressway was covered with crushed aluminum cans. It was all silver and shiny. As cars drove though the mess, the tires were creating a path of tire tracks, just like you would see in snow. Because the cans are so light, they were flying around into the right lane other cars. It was quite a sight.
As I was driving carefully past, I looked in the median where the DOT workers were mowing. On the back of the mower in capital letters was
PLEASE DO NOT LITTER
I guess the cans didn't read the sign. :-)

Great story! I would rather you and the little one have boring trips from the doctor though. That 18 wheeler tale sounds very scary.
