Thems Big Words

The past couple of weeks my vocabulary has reminded me of studying (did anyone actually study for it?) for the SATs. In conversations, I have found myself using words like "stymied" and "clandestine." The scary part is that I didn't think about the word. It just popped out of my subconscious somewhere.

I'd like to think more reading and less TV is making me smarter, but maybe I'm just getting old and know more words now. ;-)

In Jr. high, I used to play a game with my "bff" (with whom I have now COMPLETELY lost touch) where we would try to make the most convoluted sentence possible with as many SAT words as possible.
Needless to say, my vocabulary has gone downhill a good bit since then.
It probably did help my SAT score, though...

Getting old and wiser, right? I thought the older you get the more you forget! As long as you're using them in the right context then its all good...

And no... I did not study for the SAT. That's probably why my English score was so low and I still lack good grammar and comprehension skills ;-)
