Circular Logic

I just came back from a meeting, where I swear we were going in circles. And that reminded me of the song "There's a Hole in My Bucket", which is on the CDs that we listen to going to and coming from work.

If you don't remember the entire song, here is a synopsis. (We are listening to the Disney version. Hence the names of the characters. Only Goofy could sing this song.)

Goofy: There's a hole in my bucket.
Liza: Then fix it.
Goofy: With what?
Liza: Straw. (Already sounding like a problem to me.)
Goofy: The straw is too long.
Liza: Then cut it (ding dong)
Goofy: With what?
Liza: A knife
Goofy: The knife is too dull.
Liza: Then sharpen it.
Goofy: With what?
Liza: A stone.
Goofy: The stone is too dry.
Liza: Then wet it.
Goofy: With what? (I bet you know where this is going.)
Liza: With water.
Goofy: With what should I get it? (You dumb bitch.)
Liza: With a bucket. This is the point where I would smack Liza.)
Goofy: There's a hole in my bucket.

I swear I work with many Lizas. So many people seem to generate a lot of work for others without ever solving the initial problem.

I had this happen at work last week and it reminded me of your blog. You turned a frustrating situation into a laugh for me.
Hope you & your family are well.
Love,
K
