How Can Balsamic Vinagrette Make Me So Thirsty?

I'll confess. I have some very strange eating habits. Here are just a few of my quirks:

* You cannot reuse a utensil, cup, or plate that has touched a dairy item. Rinsing the cup or utensil isn't good enough. You must get a new one. No exceptions.

* If the food is in layers, I eat it in layers. This goes for pizza, baklava, sometimes lasagna. I like to stretch my pizza out, so first I eat the topping. Then focus on the crust. Of course, I'm always worried about what I might find in one of those layers.

* I hate soup (although I'll break down and eat it sometimes), but my morning oatmeal must be watery (like soup). I don't know why, but I hate thick oatmeal.

* I used to love tomato soup, but I hated tomatoes. Now, I appreciate tomatoes too, but that never made sense to me.

Humans are just weird. Heck, goats eat tin cans, for goodness sakes!

Your comment about the dairy item reminded me of my personal quirk. I'll never eat or drink anything that's past the expiration date. It could be 1 hour past the expiration date but I won't touch it.

Jenn always gets mad at me because of this.

I hate tomatoes, but I love ketchup. In fact, I'd say that my love of a particular tomato-based product is inversely proportional to how much said product resembles the original tomato.

My rating of tomato products in order of favorite to least favorite:

1 - Ketchup
2 - Tomato Sauce
3 - Stewed Tomatoes
4 - Diced Tomatoes
5 - Sliced Tomatoes
6 - Whole Tomatoes

QED.
